The MenoYoga method breaks the transition down into 4 key areas, which align with the seasons; Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer.

I would suggest no matter what stage you are in or if you are not in any stage you will benefit from the sessions and the techniques and methods used. The classes and workshops are designed for women who have no yoga experience; (the seasoned yogi will be familiar with some of the hatha poses). All classes are gentle and options and modifications will be given for medical conditions and injuries.

All equipment (Mats, bolsters, stretching straps and blocks) will be provided excluding a blanket - please do bring one as there are lots of restorative poses, some of which you will be in for 10-15 mins and you'll want to be comfortable and warm.

Menopause is a significant transition in a woman's life, often accompanied by a range of physical and emotional challenges. Yoga can be a powerful tool to help navigate this period, offering numerous benefits that promote overall well-being. One of the primary advantages of yoga during menopause is its ability to alleviate common symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings. Through gentle stretching and relaxation techniques, yoga helps regulate the body’s temperature and hormonal fluctuations, providing relief from discomfort.

In addition to physical benefits, yoga fosters mental and emotional resilience. The practice encourages mindfulness and deep breathing, which can significantly reduce stress and anxiety levels. Many women experience heightened emotional sensitivity during menopause, and yoga provides a safe space to process these feelings. By cultivating a sense of calm and self-awareness, women can better manage mood swings and promote a more positive outlook on life.

Yoga can also enhances physical strength and flexibility, which can be particularly beneficial as women experience changes in their bodies during menopause. Poses that focus on core strength and balance can help prevent injuries and improve overall mobility. Regular practice also promotes better sleep quality, which is often disrupted during menopause. By incorporating restorative yoga techniques, women can create a soothing bedtime routine that encourages relaxation and restful sleep.

Overall, yoga offers a holistic approach to managing menopause, addressing both the physical and emotional aspects of this life stage. By joining a supportive community and engaging in regular practice, women can empower themselves to embrace this transition with grace and confidence.
